Dual-Revenue Streams: Profit with the Planet

PECO has developed processes to filter and separate toxic chemicals from gas associated with oil extraction. This enables the production of high-grade graphite and hydrogen while preventing harmful pollutants from being released into the atmosphere.

High Value Graphite

Producing premium battery-grade graphite using clean solar/hydrogen fuel cell technology, eliminating the need for destructive mining.

Our innovation directly addresses the $12B investment gap in critical EV battery materials.

Zero-Carbon Hydrogen

While others struggle to capture CO2 from hydrogen production, our process reverses the equation; creating clean hydrogen as a byproduct.

We are tapping into a $170B market, growing at 9.3% annually.

Graphite Market and PECO's Impact

Disrupting the graphite market and serving industrial needs.

80% of the global graphite market is supplied by China, market dominance that presents a supply chain risk.

To keep up with demand, forecasts say $12B of investment is needed by 2030, and 97 new mines to be opened by 2035.

The PECO solution eliminates this need, by producing battery-grade graphitic carbon through alternative and disruptive means.

Green Hydrogen, The Perfect By-Product

Producing clean fuels of the future, without carbon emissions.

The global hydrogen market was estimated to be $170 billion in 2023, forecast at est. CAGR of 9.3%.

Typical hydrogen production from Steam Methane Reforming experiences major problems with emission disposal and CO2 waste products.

The PECO solution solves this problem, producing clean hydrogen with a valuable extract: graphite made from emissions.

Green Hydrogen Generation

Producing clean fuels of the future, without carbon emissions.

The secondary product created from the processing of Methane is Hydrogen. This Hydrogen will be utilised in part to power the fuel cell(s) that contribute to PECO’s 24/7 plant site operation. Additionally, the Hydrogen will also prove to be a valuable commodity as an alternative energy supply product for the future.

Interestingly, the availability of Hydrogen is flawed by the fact that there is no place from where it can be mined. It therefore needs to be manufactured, - either from hydrocarbons or water. Water is great because the only waste is oxygen, however it takes just as much energy to break the source water down as is created in burning it. Additionally, if that energy supply is not green, then the Hydrogen cannot be classified as green either.

Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) plant

The traditional method for producing Hydrogen is by Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), however this is not environmentally friendly as the process releases Carbon Dioxide (Co2) into the atmosphere and SMR processing requires a large energy supply.

By 2050, clean Hydrogen demand could account for up to 73 to 100 percent (125 to 585 Mtpa) of total Hydrogen demand, with only between less than 1 and 50 Mtpa of demand being met by grey Hydrogen, depending on the scenario. After 2025, nearly all new Hydrogen production coming online is expected to be clean Hydrogen.
